East Moraine Top

Please help us support Ben's vision for Wallowa County and the iconic East Moraine

Ben Boswell’s Wallowa County roots run deep.  His life’s work was to advance the prosperity of the County, first as a teacher, coach and mentor at Joseph Middle and High Schools (now Joseph Charter School), then as a County Commissioner and always as a community leader and servant.  One of his passions was ensuring optimal utilization of the County’s natural resources for the benefit of the local economy, managing public lands for mixed uses, including harvest or grazing, recreation and education, and for the preservation and conservation of our precious resources for future generations.  Ben poured his heart and soul into the people and interests of the County in gratitude for the foundation in life and family he was given there.  Now, in his memory, his family seeks your help in advancing his legacy in a special way.
The Wallowa Lake Moraines Partnership, of which Wallowa Resources is a member, is under an agreement to purchase 1800 acres of Wallowa Lake’s east moraine from its current private landowner. Read more about this project and learn how closely it aligns with Ben’s vision for the County.  Please help us permanently preserve this incredible property, its story and its future in Ben’s precious memory.
Thank you.
