Asch Humphrey

Events & Volunteer Coordinator

Asch grew up where the Sierra Nevada and Cascades saddle together. Her interest in the outdoors and natural resources began as an elementary school student in the Feather River Outdoor Education program (lovingly referred to in the Plumas County community as FRED). She studied English Literature and Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno, before beginning a career in Wilderness and trails with the U.S. Forest Service. She moved to Wallowa County with her partner Nathan, working with his family at Alder Slope Nursery and as a backcountry Wilderness Ranger in Eagle Cap and Hells Canyon before staffing Hat Point Fire Lookout. She's excited to join the Wallowa Resources team and looks forward to working more with the community. When not on the trail, she can be found practicing Scruggs style on the banjo, researching Wallowa County history and looking for volunteer opportunities in the County.
