Support Our Work
The challenges facing Wallowa County and rural communities throughout the West are complex and varied. In order to meet those challenges, Wallowa Resources utilizes three programmatic emphases: Community Development concentrates on the social and economic well-being of the community; County youth and adults learn relevant science, stewardship, and resource management concepts through the Education program; and the Organization's resource management professionals lead collaborative efforts to sustain the health of County lands through the Land Stewardship program.
Each of the programs strive toward sustainable economies and ecosystems in the County and the Intermountain West. Although the programs approach that goal from different perspectives, Wallowa Resources realizes that succeeding in its mission requires a synthesis of the three programs. And it requires the continued support of its partners, Friends, and County residents.
Wallowa Resources puts charitable foundation, federal, and state government dollars to work in the forests, rangelands, streams and communities of Northeast Oregon. But a large measure of our success depends on contributions and support from our Friends.
Join Wallowa Resources in helping craft a future for Wallowa County that ensures our quality of life and the health of our unparalleled working landscapes.
